About Steven and Jacqui
Steven and Jacqui Haines are originally from Cape Town, South Africa and now live in Tampa, Florida, where they serve as Discipleship Pastors at Abide Church. This dynamic couple share a deep passion for the body of Christ and are committed to helping people grow in their relationship with God while cultivating a culture of revival.

With years of ministry experience across South Africa, the USA, India, Egypt, and other nations, they carry a deep passion to see believers equipped and nations transformed. Together, Steven and Jacqui carry a vision to advance God’s kingdom through teaching, encounters, and missions.
They are blessed with four children—Bethany, Sarah, Zoe, and Jaden—and have two dogs, Luna and Teddy.
Salvation and Call into Ministry
Steven was born again at the age of seven and sensed a call to vocational ministry by the age of 14. At 15, he began preaching the gospel—first at his own school, then to neighboring schools, while also teaching children about Jesus at a local junior school. Recognizing his calling, Steven pursued a BA in Christian Leadership at Stellenbosch University and continued serving in University Campus Ministry and Youth Ministry at his local church.

Jacqui grew up in a Christian home but walked away from the Lord during her teenage years. After a period of partying and drinking, she made a life-changing decision to follow Christ at 21. The following year, she resigned from her job and joined her church’s youth ministry, where she met Steven.

In 2003, they were married and have continued to serve the Lord together in ministry ever since.
Jacqui
Jacqui’s journey into ministry began at the age of 21, after a radical encounter with Christ that ignited a lifelong passion for Jesus. From that moment, her heart has been devoted to helping people grow deeper in their walk with God, carrying a special love for worship and prayer.
She is passionate about leading others into the transforming presence of God and longs to see lives changed by His Spirit.
Her life message is a call to the Bride of Christ—inviting believers into a genuine life of devotion, intimacy, and wholehearted dedication to Jesus.
Steven
With 28 years of experience in pastoring, preaching, and teaching, Steven holds a Theology degree from Stellenbosch University. He blends solid biblical teaching with life-changing encounters with the Holy Spirit and is passionate about missions and reaching the lost.
Outside of ministry, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf or padel, and supporting the Springboks.

His life message is to call the body of Christ to live in the fullness of the Kingdom, to be empowered to walk in the supernatural, and to carry the church beyond its four walls into the world.
Ministry Expressions
2003-2006
His People / Every Nation Cape Town
In their early years of ministry, Steven and Jacqui served as Youth Directors with Every Nation Ministries, leading one of the vibrant E365 Youth Teams.
2006 - 2014
His People Pietermaritzburg
After relocating to Pietermaritzburg, Steven’s hometown, they joined a church-planting team where they served as associates and University Campus Pastors. In 2010, out of this season of ministry, the Supernatural Lifestyle School was birthed.
2015
Every Nation Cape Town, Journey of Grace & Daniel Group
Steven and Jacqui returned to Cape Town, where they served as Bible School Deans and pastors with Every Nation, while also launching Daniel Group Ministry—establishing a base to equip and serve the wider body of Christ.
2022-2023
Discipleship Pastors at Abide Church
The Haines family transitioned to Tampa, Florida, where they launched Life Bible School at Abide Church. There, they served as Discipleship Pastors—equipping believers, leading monthly evangelism outreaches, and facilitating retreats.
2023-2025
Associate and Senior Pastors at Journey of Grace
After 18 months of serving at Abide Church, Steven and Jacqui sensed the Lord leading them back to South Africa to serve with Journey of Grace Church and to continue advancing Daniel Group Ministry.
2025 -
Discipleship Teacher at Abide Church
After two and a half years in South Africa, the Lord led Steven and Jacqui back to the USA to serve with Abide Church in Tampa, Florida, where they are presently helping establish ministry schools and cultivate a strong evangelism and missional culture.
